Chase debutants DANCING IN BRAZIL and Intrepide Sud may well come to the fore, assuming that they both get into a good rhythm jumping-wise. The latter has a bit to prove having pulled up in handicap hurdles the last twice but perhaps this change of vocation will help him get back on the right path. That said, Dancing In Brazil arrives here on the back of a couple of creditable efforts and he is marginally preferred. Non Stop is the clear pick of those with experience over fences.

Fairly useful bumper winner who has performed with credit in handicap hurdles at Newbury and Huntingdon for new yard the last twice. Likely to be in the thick of things, provided that his jumping passes the test now tackling the larger obstacles.

Drew a blank over fences last season but returned to winning ways over hurdles when taking a handicap at Plumpton on return in November. Lost little caste in defeat when runner-up back in this sphere last time and he's a leading contender off the same mark here.

Won twice for Gordon Elliott in 2023 and, following a low-key start for present yard, he has stopped the slide to an extent on his last 3 starts, most recently finishing third of 6 in first-time cheekpieces (discarded here) at Catterick (19.2f, good to soft). Now tried in a tongue strap.

Headstrong sort who was well served by fitting of a hood when off the mark over fences for Lucinda Russell at Ayr last March. No show in 3 starts for Dan Skelton this season and hopes pinned on another yard switch helping to spark a return to form.

Useful chaser at best but below par both starts since rejoining former yard, including with first-time cheekpieces enlisted (retained here) at Lingfield latest. Sole success over a trip shy of 2½m was gained back in 2018 and he will almost certainly find things happening too quickly returned to 2m.

Chase winner in France and landed a Plumpton novice hurdle for Paul Nicholls last spring. Little impact in 3 starts for present yard but he is at least coming down the weights and is also eased in class here.

    Verdict
Fair bumper winner who opened his hurdling account in 2m novice at Uttoxeter in October. Pulled up last 2 starts but makes chase debut off what looks a reasonable mark and he could be a factor if he takes to fences at the first attempt.

Fairly useful winning chaser in France he's yet to get his head in front on these shores and ran poorly at Worcester on latest appearance/final run for Jonjo & A.J. O'Neill last summer. Others preferred.
