KOVANOS (2) will be suited to the small-sized field and was too strong for her rivals at Ballina just over 3 weeks ago. She is bred to excel over more ground and she can take the next step immediately. SON OF SATONO (3) was back in winning form when scoring at all the way victory at Kilcoy just over 4 weeks ago. He has been placed in all 4 starts here over the trip and can double the dose. OUR ORATOR (1) ran on late for fifth here a fortnight ago and was runner-up at Ipswich before that. The key here is the step up to 2200m for the first time this prep and he will be hard to hold out, especially with Robbie Dolan back in the saddle. MADALSA (4) can't be faulted for her consistency but she just can't seem to win another race. She is likely to race on the pace and another honest effort is on the cards.
