WEZZA (2) makes her first appearance for 11 months. Showed ability when last in work, the highlight a placing behind smart mare The Black Cloud in a Gosford maiden over 1100m. Has been to the trials twice so she should be forward enough to run a big race. APPARENTLY (8) has not raced since finishing fourth over 1280m at Muswellbrook in May, her only run of that prep. Now with the Melissa Dennett stable and a big recent trial win suggests she is ready to make a positive return. TAKEOVER LAD (3) raced handy and battled on okay for third when resuming over 1100m at Armidale a fortnight ago. Has now placed at three of his four runs. Well drawn and looks sure to be competitive again. BY LINDA (9) started deep in the red but found a couple better when first-up from a five-month spell over this distance at Quirindi recently. Worth another chance with blinkers on for the first time. The lightly raced KANTISHNA (6) is also in contention despite a 20-week absence.
