RONNY BEE (10) has not been produced since finishing less than a length from the winner on debut in June over this distance at Dubbo. No public trials to gauge his progression, but if he exhibits any natural improvement over the break he can take this out. PENINSULA (9) has started at long odds-on in his two runs to date but failed to deliver, the latest effort a moderate fourth over 1400m at Armidale. Hard to believe the market is getting it that wrong so expect he has more to offer. MYALABY (14) settled back in the field then stoked up late to grab second over 1000m at Gunnedah recently. A bad alley hurts but she should be tough to hold out over the longer journey. On-pacer KOSCIUSZKO BOUND (12) can run a cheeky race coming back in trip. XERXES (11) on debut from the Cavanough stable has been well found in early betting so keep him safe.
