LAUNCH SEQUENCE (3) returned from a 37-week spell and was having his first run for the Milligan stable when a close second over this distance at Tuncurry a fortnight ago. Will need to go fast to cross from a wide draw but with even luck he looks the one to beat. DEVOTED DEPUTY (15) has been to the races seventeen times for five placings. Failed to run out the 1200m at Mudgee last time. Back to his pet trip so must be considered despite a poor draw. TAKEOVER LAD (2) was handy all the way and battled on fairly to hold onto third when resuming over 1100m at Armidale recently. Best efforts have come at this trip so he is right in contention. QUEEN CALANTHE (6) settled back in the field and was never a contender last Monday over this distance at Kempsey. Deserves respect in the six-day back-up. LIL' BIT VAIG (17) ran a cheeky race first-up at Coffs Harbour and is open to improvement.
