HIGHLY TEMPTED (1) has filled a minor placing at all five runs this prep, the latest offering a close second in a BM58 over 1400m at this track. Yet to be tested at the mile but he finds the line well and should run it out. Deserves a win. TSUNODA (3) attacked the line well to get up for third for the second race in a row last time out over 1400m here. Gives every indication he needs this sort of trip now so follow him up. SPIRITLY (4) settled midfield then let down nicely to get up for second at his latest appearance over 1509m at Port Macquarie. Boasts a fine record at the mile so he is right in contention. YAMBA'S GIRL (8) missed in a bob of the head over this trip at Tuncurry last start. Up in grade but did finish less than a length away in a similar race here in January so she is up to the task. STRATUM CHIEF (10) staged a form reversal to collect the prize over 2000m here recently. This might be too sharp but a top four finish is not out of the question.
