NEW SOVEREIGN (7) is a progressive, lightly raced 5yo gelding who has won both starts this time in, beating a deep 0-64 field fresh before another good win as favourite at Seymour. He looks very capable of measuring up in better races and does drop 5kg in the weights. BELTHIL (1) was good last start at Moonee Valley over 1500m when working home well for a narrow second. He's got a strong record at 1400m and looks well placed off that run. PRECIOUS CHARM (5) resumed with a good win here over 1200m, running on strongly to score by a length. She should improve again out to 1400m and this looks a target race for her. RIVERINA POWER (8) is a possible improver in a more suitable contest. MERE MORSEL (6) can place.
