WEST INDIES (4) resumes and is an interesting one. He had four runs in his maiden campaign, winning his maiden at Kembla Grange at start two, going on to run in the G1 Victoria Derby when outclassed. He's won a 1550m trial so fitness should be good for the first up run at this trip and on class he looks well in. WARCHIME (3) broke through for an easy win at Kyneton over 1856m last time out. Big chance based on that. CHESAPEAKE BABE (7) was a smart maiden winner at Kilmore last time out and may be able to go on with it. GIFT OF ORATORY (5) won well here in an easier race last time but could measure up while PRINCE OF BYRON (6) was big odds at Pakenham last time but ran well and has to be respected.
